Simplify

Simplify…

What an emotional time for my husband & me when we sold and left our dream home that we custom built, driving off in a new truck and a 30’ 5th wheel. We headed to a local RV park for a week to get accustomed to this new style of living.

I asked myself...Did I pack the right things? Did I need my full set of pots and pans? My biggest concern was about my Kitchen Aid mixer and would I really use it? As every woman thinks…what clothes do I pack, store, or give away?

Spending the week at the local RV park was the perfect kick start that we needed! The park was filled with like minded folks who loved to share their experiences and gave us tips to gain the confidence that we needed. God gives us new opportunities each day! How refreshing is that?

Today is a new day…How can you simplify the mountain in your life? I found that you have to take baby steps, have a plan, and then work your plan. What mountain are you facing?

  • Letting Go Yikes…that is so hard! But how else can you simplify?  What needs simplifying in YOUR life? Who can you bless by simplifying?

  • Reinforcements Who can you talk to, to keep on track? As I was packing the last of our belongings I lost it…I couldn’t decide what to do with an item. I called my mom in tears and she gave me the permission to be indecisive, that it was ok to store it and decide later what to do.

  • Key Holder As you take that first step who is there to encourage you? My sister is my die hard encourager! She has that special way about her that lets me know that she’s holding my hand, heart, and mental health all at the same time. It gives me the freedom to move forward towards the next destination.

Welcome to my blog! My husband and I decided to take the plunge to sell our home, let go of an attic full of memories, treasures, and stuff that we’ve accumulated during our 31 years together after I lost my job in Texas. We are traveling the U.S. in our truck and 5th wheel visiting family, friends, and those places we’ve always wanted to visit! Who knows…we might be in your neck of the woods!

I’m a life coach…I believe that you have the power to move towards your dream. I want this blog to be an encouragement to you - by inspiring you - that if I can do it then you can do it too!

What do you want to simplify in your life today?
