If you know me, you know I love Good Morning America's Deals and Steals! Tory Johnson's been featuring some of Oprah's Favorite Things. Some are cool, some of them not so cool and some are MUST HAVES!
With the holiday shopping upon us I thought…why not share what I love! It might inspire you as you’re on the hunt for the perfect gift.
My first item was discovered by accident…Ugg replacement insoles! I was shopping for new Ugg slippers. I have a favorite style that I have been wearing for years…a little Ugg bootie with an indoor/outdoor sole. I haven’t been able to find this style for a number of years but every year I give it another look. I went to our local shoe store who features Uggs and I tried on all the different slipper styles they had. But none fit the same. I thought about the ones at home and they aren’t that bad…there just wasn’t any support. I asked if they had the Ugg replacement insoles and they did! The first thing I did when I got home was put those insoles in my slippers & am thrilled to report that they fit perfect and I felt like I had new slippers!!!
Super excited about my second item…Guard Your ID! I first saw this on Good Morning America Deals and Steals. I'm on the West Coast and by the time I saw the deal it was sold out. It was featured again last week and I didn’t want to miss out so I ordered right away! Check out…Guard Your ID. This clever little thing is a roller that you swipe across your private information and it covers it up!! No more shredding! You can just open your mail – swish, swish and then toss it in your recycle bin. It helps you stay organized, neat, clean and the mail clutter is gone.
My third favorite thing…Keep App! It helps you keep your notes all in one place and what's super cool about it is that it has checkboxes! If you're a list builder like me (sometimes you just like to check them off and so what I'll do is I'll add something in just to check it off)! When you're ready to mark it off you just tap it and it wipes away and then it keeps track of what you still need to do and shows what you have accomplished.
The secret in life…finding things that work for you to help you stay on track, making tweaks when you need to so that you are continually moving forward. Remember to sparkle and shine & share that smile - it's a beautiful gift to anybody!
I love that you can re-purpose what you have if there is life in it. With a swipe, wipe out your private information and then recycle the paperwork. Keep your to-do lists up to date with just swipe on the app! Those are my three favorite things! You can either gift them for yourself or someone else!
